Fax Compatibility
To all our customers,

There is a known issue between the HP 3100 fax machine with v1.12 firmware and Parker Bayside's fax server. It is possible that when a fax is sent from an HP3100 fax machine, the sender will receive a transmission confirmation and it will look like the fax was sent and actually received by us, however it will not show up anywhere in our fax system.

The problem can be fixed by updating the V1.12 HP 3100 firmware to V1.21. The following Brooktrout link describes the problem and has a link to the HP site:http://www.brooktrout.com/support/productinfo.cfm?frmProduct=All&frmCategory=Knowledgebase&frmKnowBaseID=1530&Level=2&Type=Text&frmSearchString=hp%203100

Please make sure if you use an HP3100 fax machine to fax us, that the machine's firmware is the correct version. The firmware can be checked by powering off the unit and powering it back on. If the V1.12 firmware is shown, please update to the V1.21 firmware to avoid this problem.

The following is the link to the HP site that was listed on the Brooktrout page. The HP page contains links to instructions on downloading the HP 3100 firmware and upgrading the firmware:
